What’s on in your state this Mother’s Day

Every year when Mother’s Day rolls around, you always want to spend the day cherishing your mum, and it can be hard to come up with ideas for the day each year. Fortunately, more and more events pop up around the country every year that are solely dedicated to mum’s and their kids spending time with each other and having a great time in the process. Maybe this year is the year to check out one of these and mix it up a bit!

Victoria

If you’re located in Melbourne, it should come as no surprise that there’s a TONNE of events on for Mother’s Day this Sunday. Go have Beer-Vonshire Tea to celebrate Good Beer Week, have a fancy brunch at Cumulus Inc, or go to Multicultural Museums Melbourne for their intergenerational project Grandmothers, celebrating all the grandmothers out there.

New South Wales

Have lunch in the pastel dream that is Nour in Surry Hills, treat her to an El’Circo luncheon at Slide, or have a Dinner Cruise in Sydney Harbour.

Queensland

If you’re in the Gold Coast, get picked up for a hot air balloon ride, or if you want to go really luxe, plan a Mother’s Day getaway to QT. For those in Brisbane, head to Stephanie’s for an award winning spa experience.

Western Australia

Get her free entry at the Bell Tower (mums go free all day), or head to the Scribblers Festival for a great day out celebrating literature and arts in Perth.

South Australia

Is mum a gin lover? Prohibition Liquor Co is holding a Mother’s Day Gin High Tea on Sunday. For a dinner event, Coal Cellar and Grill is hosting an a la carte dinner to enjoy the evening with your mum.

Nationwide

Head to the Mother’s Day Classic to participate in or watch the annual fun run and walk that raises funds for breast cancer research. It’ll feel good to spend the day supporting a great cause with the family.
